Venus Viva II™
One-stop solution for all your skin needs
Venus Viva™ is an advanced, non-surgical solution for skin resurfacing that works to improve the overall texture of your skin. It combines NanoFractional Radio Frequency (RF) and SmartScan™ technology to dramatically improve the tone, texture and overall quality of skin. It provides a safe, non-invasive, long-lasting solution to a wide range of skin concerns including wrinkles, acne scars, uneven pigmentation and stretch marks.
Venus Viva uses micro-focused fractional radio-frequency energy which heats the skin at a controlled level without burning, allowing this technology to be safely used during all seasons, and on all skin types, including those with dark or ethnic skin.
How does venus viva ii work?
The Venus Viva II™ sends multiple fractional radio-frequency currents into the skin using the SmartScan technology. Tiny pins will emit the current through the NanoFractional RF™ hand-piece allowing for a safe and uniform delivery of this therapeutic energy.
Dr. Fred Weksberg of the Weksberg Centre for Cosmetic Dermatology in Toronto Ontario, will be able to completely customize and personalize the energy setting to address your specific skincare needs, unlike other facial resurfacing treatments.
Who is a candidate and What skin issues can be addressed?
Venus Viva II uses fractional radio-frequency energy which heats the skin at a controlled level without burning, allowing this technology to be safely used during all seasons. The procedure can be done on all skin types, including those with dark or ethnic skin.
Venus Viva II should not be used on hair-bearing areas such as eyebrows. It is also inappropriate for areas of the skin that are tattooed. Therefore, patients with permanent make-up should not do treatments in these areas.
Venus Viva II works to treat the following conditions:
- Patients with acne scars, fine wrinkles, large pores and surface irregularities of the skin
- Patients with pigmentation irregularities such as sun damage and freckles
- Patients who desire a smoother appearance and tightening of their skin
- Patients looking to improve the tone and texture of their skin
- Patients wanting to diminish stretchmarks and other scars
how long does a viva II treatment take?
A single treatment session lasts no longer than 30 minutes. The number of sessions in a treatment program will depend on the individual patient, but typically varies between 3-5 sessions, every 4-6 weeks.
How many viva II treatments will i need?
The number of treatments you can have is limitless. Venus Viva treatments are most effective when done as a series of treatments, with at least 3 treatments being completed, usually in 4-6 week intervals.
Multiple treatments are needed for full benefit and you will continue to see your improvements develop throughout the series. Maintenance treatments for anti-aging benefits should be repeated 3-4 times per year.
Is the venus Viva II treatment painful? & what about downtime?
During the treatment you may feel some warm pricks in more sensitive areas, if desired a topical anesthetic cream may be applied and left to sit for 20-30 minutes prior to the treatment being administered. The energy level can also be adjusted to aid with any discomfort during the treatment if necessary.
Immediately following the Venus Viva II your skin may be slightly red, similar to a sunburn. This can last for approximately 3-4 hours. The skin can also be slightly swollen.
Residual redness can last for up to 7 days with sandpaper like texture on the skin and minor flaking.
In some cases post treatment acne can also occur.
When will the results of my Viva II treatments be visible?
Though individual results will vary and be dependent on the targeted condition, in some cases visible results may be noted in as little as one week!
Patients are reminded to have realistic expectations and that multiple sessions will be necessary. Venus Viva II results will continue to develop for up to 3 months following each treatment, as new collagen is created. Each session will further ablate and resurface the skin, resulting in a reduction of wrinkles, and improvement in skin laxity, pores size, textural irregularities, and scarring.
